Day 1 - Saturday, June 19, 2021 (11:00am - 2:00pm CST) Day 2 - Saturday, June 26, 2021 (11:00am - 2:00pm CST) Get started with data visualization using Vega-Lite in Observable. This class is created for people comfortable with JavaScript who want to learn more about data visualization in practice. Demo ・ Play ・ Explore ・ Practice ・ Share This class will include: • Demos of Observable in action (with interesting data) • Practice with peers • Sharing out of projects • Small class size (10 spots) By the end of this class: • You will know how to get setup and started with Vega-Lite, Observable, and practice data. • You will feel comfortable continuing your data visualization journey, with the tools you need to get started, get going, and create visualizations. About the Instructor: Zeke Nierenberg is a technologist and educator who believes technology can be more humane and accessible. He encourages students to use computation as a general thinking tool, and not narrowly to achieve a single objective.
